Maybe it’s patriotic to have a peaceful transfer of power instead of inciting an insurrection. I also wonder just how many Americans were asleep in CIVICS or Social Studies or American History classes in high school. How could so many not understand the difference between a man who clearly wants to give our country to Putin and burn the Constitution, and all the others who want to work within its framework?
And just how many of these people that work in the news-entertainment businesses understand just how they are complicit in overthrowing our democracy if they choose to procreate lies and deceit when they know that people are taking it as the truth? If I were a Federal Prosecutor for a day, I would lock up all the people making Fox News and all the “reporters” who refuse to either ask Trump to support his lies with evidence or turn his mike off. That Fox News guy who turned Trump off is the only one so far who I would not put in jail from Fox.
All the coordinators and moderators who were part of the last debate between Trump and President Biden need to go to jail too just for not doing their jobs when the consequences are the fate of the nation! Think about any high school or college debate you ever attended. Would any debater be allowed to say the things that Trump said without a moderator turning his mike off and ordering him out of the room?

The debates used to be run by the League of Women Voters and they actually asked platform and policy questions while maintaining a civil atmosphere unlike the media Hosts who are trying to provoke a fight or ignore lying. Time for the Fairness In Broadcasting Doctrine to return.

The main reason that the “Fairness In Broadcasting Doctrine” is no longer adhered to is because of, as I read about 25 years ago, both the deletion of FCC regulations and the recognition that there would be no mandate for any media or information company to produce news, only entertainment. If it is strictly entertainment, then let the audience beware because no one can be sued for lying or misrepresenting the truth if it is only entertainment.
We need our regulations back.
Deregulation only allowed the dishonest to make fair game of the American population and the wealthy to establish themselves as rulers of the American economy.
And, combat veterans. We even have patriots that aren’t white Christians in our country. Because our country rocks! No one group or person defines what a good American is, especially not some trolling, sad, insecure man at a golf course.
I truly hope Trump is the last republican president in our lifetime! He’s had his 4 years. Now consign him to the dustbin of history (and prison, please!)
